ParaPathways Passing Score by State
ParaPathways reports two scores, one for Reading & Writing and one for Mathematics. ETS recommends 332 and 334, but your state decides the real bar. Here are the cut scores states have published so far.
How ParaPathways scoring works by state
ParaPathways gives you two scores, not one. You get a Reading & Writing score and a separate Mathematics score, and each one sits on a 310 to 350 scale. You have to clear the bar on both subtests, so a strong math score will not rescue a weak reading score, and the other way around too.
ETS recommends a passing score of 332 for Reading & Writing and 334 for Mathematics. That recommendation is a starting point, not a rule. Every state sets its own bar, and a few have already decided to come in lower. Some lower-adopter states (Arkansas, Washington, and Missouri) use 324 and 325 instead.
Always confirm the current number with your state Department of Education before you register. Cut scores can move, and the page you are reading is a starting map, not the final word for your district.

While ParaPro is still accepted
Through August 31, 2026, your state's existing ParaPro passing score still applies. If your test date lands inside that window and your district accepts ParaPro, you can use the score you already know. You can look up your state's current requirement on the ParaPro state hub.
Once ParaPro is retired after August 31, 2026, the per-subtest scores like the ones in the table above are what you work toward, since the old single ParaPro number no longer applies to new test takers. States are adopting ParaPathways on their own timelines, so confirm your state's current requirement before you register.
